Some of the images seem a waste of disk space right?
No way!
These are most of the pre-rebuild "detail" pix that were taken so that when I put it back together,
I would have some help in remembering what went where.
For example, the fast idle cam can fit in several different ways, but only one way is right.
"Why is it brown?" You ask.
When I got this carb, it looked really cool.
Because it had a layer of silver paint on it.
Painting the carb is bad. Period.
Too easy to get paint in one of many tiny vaccuum or fuel passages.
So, before going into the carb cleaner, I hosed it with paint remover, which turned all the paint
brown, but most of what was left came off easily with a brass brush.
(scratching up carb not good either).
As a result, yeah, it does look really funky.
The lighting could be better too, but I reviewed the images as I was taking them.
They did not look so bad at the time.
